Shringarika has raised the bar for Hindi historical drama. It is sensual without being vulgar, violent without being gratuitous, and smart without being pretentious. Episodes 21-28 transition the show from a “guilty pleasure” into “essential viewing.” If you stopped watching after the first few episodes of Season 1, this middle arc is where the show finds its true voice.
