If you know the difference between a “suction cup” and a “pineapple,” you already know why Psych remains one of the most beloved procedural comedies of the 21st century. For the uninitiated, Psych follows Shawn Spencer (James Roday Rodriguez), a hyper-observant detective who convinces the Santa Barbara Police Department he’s a psychic, and his best friend, Burton "Gus" Guster (Dulé Hill), a pharmaceutical salesman with a gaggle of allergies and a deep-seated fear of everything.
The represents the show at its most confident, most hilarious, and most emotionally resonant. It contains the single greatest hangover comedy episode ever written for network TV ("Last Night Gus") and the most gut-wrenching character moment for Juliet O'Hara.
Don’t settle for low-bitrate streaming. Don’t buy a used copy missing the third disc. Invest in the complete, official pack. Come for the fake psychic detective work. Stay for the pineapple. And always remember: Suck it.
