Version 5.5 is surprisingly stable. Unlike earlier builds of Hyper Emerald (which crashed in the Battle Frontier), the Lost Artifacts patch fixes the memory leak issues. Here is the breakdown of every artifact in : Artifact #1: The Dripping Tear (Route 119) Location: Hidden behind the Weather Institute. Requirement: Dive & Waterfall. Previously, a waterfall in the far northeast of Route 119 led to a dead end. In 5.5, dive into the small pool at the top of the waterfall. You will enter the Weeping Grotto . Navigate a foggy maze (use Defog, imported from Gen 4 mechanics). At the end, a level 85 Primal Kyogre stands guard. Beat or catch it. The Dripping Tear is on the altar behind it. Artifact #2: The Sunken Relic (Sootopolis City) Location: Under the diving spot in the center of Sootopolis. Requirement: Dive, Flash, and a Pokemon with "Magma Armor" in your party. After defeating Wallace (or Juan depending on the hack’s version), dive to the crater floor. A new hole appears. You will enter the Magma Core . Use Flash to reveal a puzzle floor. You must step on the tiles in the order of the Zodiac (Ralts->Taurus->Krabby->Arcanine->Ponyta). Fail, and a Level 90 Primal Groudon explodes with Eruption. The Sunken Relic raises your party's Defense by one stage automatically upon entry to any battle. Artifact #3: The Fractured Wing (Meteor Falls) Location: The deepest chamber, past the Bagon spawns. Requirement: Acro Bike & Strength. You need to use the Acro Bike to hop up a hidden set of railings on the far left wall of the upper floor. This leads to the Sky Pillar Annex . Instead of Rayquaza, you fight a level 100 Shiny Mega Rayquaza. Upon defeat (it has a 100% catch rate via Master Ball or Timer Ball), the ground cracks. Jump down to find the Fractured Wing . This artifact allows any flying type to learn Dragon Ascent via move reminder. Artifact #4: The Rusted Crown (Abandoned Ship) Location: The Captain’s Quarters. Requirement: Scanner (Quest Item) & 6 specific "Rusty Keys." This is a scavenger hunt within a scavenger hunt. The Abandoned Ship has six hidden keys (in trash cans, under beds, inside broken lockers). Unlike the vanilla game where the scanner gives you a TM, in Hyper Emerald 5.5, the scanner plus all six keys opens a safe behind the captain’s portrait. Inside is the Rusted Crown . Equip this to a Tinkaton to evolve it into Tinkaton Lord (Steel/Fairy, base stat total 600). Artifact #5: The Null Lens (New Mauville) Location: The formerly inaccessible Generator Room. Requirement: Ten Badges & a Pokemon with maximum EVs (Effort Values). Wattson's secret basement has been expanded. The door now requires a "Satoshi GX" card (found by beating the Game Corner in Mauville 50 times in a row). Inside, the room is glitched—visual snow, freezing graphics. You must battle 10 consecutive "Ghost" trainers (depicting unused Gen 1 sprites). After battle 10, the Null Lens appears. Caution: Every Pokemon in this room has the ability Wonder Guard . Bring Mold Breaker. Artifact #6: The Time Gear (Pacifidlog Town) Location: The empty house next to the Pokemon Center. Requirement: The other 5 artifacts & a level 100 Wobbuffet. This is the weirdest requirement in the hack. Talk to the old woman in the empty house 50 times. She will finally whisper a password: "The future is past." Surf east until you hit the invisible barrier. With the other 5 artifacts in your bag, the barrier becomes a door. The Temporal Tower (a PMD reference) appears. You fight a Level 120 Deoxys that changes forms every turn. Win to get the Time Gear . This item allows you to reverse time—essentially, it lets you re-fight any gym leader or boss without waiting 24 hours. The Reward: Sealed Chamber Omega Once you have all six artifacts, return to the original Sealed Chamber (Route 134). Instead of using Dig, use all six artifacts in your bag.
