The story spans 10 years. As children, and Pooja (Rani Mukerji) are best friends. When Raj’s family moves to London, he promises to write to Pooja. However, through a case of mistaken identity, Raj’s letters end up with Tina (Kareena Kapoor) , Pooja’s flashy, modern cousin.
