The genius of the writing here is that Mandy doesn't scream. She whispers: "You made me break my vow, Georgie. And I hate you for it." The episode’s middle act pivots to the second meaning of MSV: "The Marriage-Saving Vote."
Mandy, alone in the McAllister house, finally breaks down sobbing. She isn't sad he left. She is sad that she doesn't miss him yet. Most sitcoms solve their conflicts in 22 minutes. "Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage" is not a sitcom. It is a drama wearing a laugh track’s clothing. Episode 21 is the "Suzanne Vega" moment (a la 'The Dinner Party' from classic TV) where the mask comes off.
Georgie moves into the garage of the Cooper house (now occupied only by Mary, who has become a ghost of her former self). As he unpacks a single duffel bag, he looks at a photo of him and Mandy at the hospital when Cece was born.
