Exciting Games -ep.17 Part 1- By Guter Reiter !!top!! -

The objective is initially unclear, which is by design. As the blurb for Part 1 states: “You have won all the games. Now you must un-win them.” Where Ep.17 Part 1 truly shines is its mechanical innovation. Guter Reiter introduces what he calls the Recursive Input System (RIS) .

In previous episodes, the puzzles were linear: find key A to open door B. In Part 1, the game begins to remember your failures across all previous episodes. The soundscape, composed (as always) by an uncredited collaborator known only as "V-KAT," is ambient dread. The track titled “Foyer (You Are Here)” layers the sound of a skipping record over a child’s music box. It is deeply uncomfortable, but impossible to turn off. Others are frustrated by the lack of traditional "excitement" given the series' title. However, longtime fans argue that the irony of the title Exciting Games has always been the punchline. The series is about the monotony of grinding, the fatigue of sequels, and the horror of completionism. Exciting Games -Ep.17 Part 1- By Guter Reiter is not designed for newcomers. If you haven't played Episodes 1-16, you will be lost, frustrated, and likely bored.
