You should now see a populated list of 50–150 active servers. Sort by "Users" to see the most populated. The short answer: Yes, but not as your only resource.
Why? Servers act as the "phone books" of the eDonkey2000 network. They don’t host files, but they tell your client where to find other users who do have the data you need. Without an up-to-date , your client is effectively sailing blind. Emule Server List
Copy the new server.met into the Config folder. You should now see a populated list of

Open eMule, go to the Servers tab, and press the "Refresh Server List" button (looks like two circular arrows).
Download a current server.met file from one of the trusted URLs above.
