Codesys License Activation -

Codesys License Activation -

A: The license is stored on the dongle’s hardware chip. If it’s physically damaged, you must contact CODESYS support with your proof of purchase. They can deactivate the lost dongle and issue a new license.

The dongle uses CodeMeter technology. On Windows targets, check the system tray for the CodeMeter Control Center. On Linux, run systemctl status codemeter . codesys license activation

On the target device (offline), go to License Management → CmAct section → Click "Create Offline Request File" . Save the *.ReqF file to a USB drive. A: The license is stored on the dongle’s hardware chip

The portal will encrypt a response file *.ResF . Download it to the USB drive. The dongle uses CodeMeter technology

Return to the CODESYS IDE on the License Management tab. Under "Activate/Import" , click "Import License File" . Browse to the downloaded file and select it. CODESYS will immediately push the license to the target device.

Take the USB drive to an online PC. Go to the CODESYS Offline Activation Portal (login required). Upload the *.ReqF file.

Click the "Read Container ID" button. A string of 20-30 alphanumeric characters will appear. This ID is the digital fingerprint of your target device. Copy it to clipboard or note it down.
